The "silver king”:  ranging from 10 pounds to 200+ pounds

There is a reason that tarpon has become synonymous with “the silver king of all sports-fish”  – they are into the game as much as you are.  Their high acrobatic jumps and tail-walking antics can mock you…while making you appreciate their true splender.  I have yet to hook a tarpon without the feeling that it was a privileged experience and look forward to sharing this thrill with you.

The near shore waters of Naples are prime spots to hunt Tarpon as they make their annul migrations north in the spring, and south in the fall. Using live green back herring, or a D.O.A. bait buster are two sure ways to target the King. These fish are generally the mature adults on their way to feeding grounds to fatten up for the annual spawn.

Their off spring use the enriched back waters of Naples and her surrounding waters as their nursery. So whether it's a 10 pound baby or a 200 pound monster, call me and find out which one wants to bite !
